Terrell Talley, 21, and Marquette Staton, 18, both of Alexandria, were spotted Sunday evening, April 16 after a license plate reader alerted authorities in Fairfax County to a stolen vehicle, police said.

An officer attempted a traffic stop near the 7500 block of Richmond Highway, but the driver fled, and intentionally struck multiple cruisers. Officers pursued the suspects into Prince George’s County, MD, where they were able to bring the vehicle to a stop.

Police pursued the suspects until the outer loop of the Beltway just before Branch Avenue, where four suspects bailed out of the car and ran.

Talley and Staton were eventually found and arrested a short time later, while the other two suspects remain outstanding.

Staton has been charged with the initial carjacking as well as firearms offenses, and charged Talley with the unauthorized use of a vehicle and firearms offenses.

Both suspects are in the custody of the Prince George's County Department of Corrections.
